Domain Names
Domain names are important and are used to direct visitors to your website.
You should choose a simple, easy to remember domain name for your business and where possible try and avoid special characters like “-” or unusually spelt words, this can lead to confusion when trying to find your website.
It can also help to include an indication of what you sell in your domain name, for example www.paulsusedcars.co.uk.
We charge an annual fee of £30 for each uk domain and only £40 for US domains, this covers the setup, management, email addresses and domain renewal on your behalf.
Domain Whois / Domain Ownership
It is important that your domain name has been registered to you. You can use the domain tool below to see who your current domain is registered too, this tool also provides information on renewal dates. If you are not the registered owner of your domain you may find it difficult to administer, renew or move your website in the future.
We always register your domain to you, if you are concerned about your website ownership and require our help, please contact us for free advice.
If you do not have control of your domain, our team can help you re-establish control of your existing domain and ensure that it is correctly registered to you and your business.
Transferring your Domain
We can help you transfer your domain between supplies or help you aquire your domain from a previous website development agency which you may not currently have access too.
In most cases, our domain transfer costs are a one off £25.00. If you don’t have access to your domain we may need to use a 3rd party service provided by Nominet, the UK Regulator for domain name registration, in these cases you may be charged an additional £24.00 per domain.
